You may have seen this ray of sunshine brightening up your day at Kiss The Berry or maybe you've noticed her refreshingly honest posts on Instagram talking all things fitness to mental health. Maddie is one of my favourite people to follow on the gram because she shares it all - there's no one I find more inspiring than a person willing to speak their truth. Have a read below at this positivity queen primes herself for the day each morning. 

 

What is your current morning routine? 

Most mornings I wake up between 4:30-5am ( I love being an early bird) I roll over and list 5 things I am grateful for, no matter how big or small. I then grab my water mixed with Lemon and cayenne pepper which sounds a little crazy but it’s great for my gut health. 

I absolutely love to use my Eunoia self love face cream and use the essential oil roller on my wrists and neck as a stress reliever and perfume. (This cream has changed my life) 

I then put my active wear on and either ride my bike to work or walk to teach a barre class. Getting outside at the start of the day to see the sunrise really starts my day off in the best way. 

 

How has your morning routine evolved? 

It’s evolved so much. For starters I didn’t really care about what I put in my body. The products I used on my skin were cheap and synthetic, I was also really dehydrated and mostly always focused on the negatives in my life. Adding gratitude really changes how you look at the world. 

 

Do I use any apps? 

I use the “calm” app to meditate at night time and some mornings. It’s great when I feel like stress or anxiety starts to creep in. 

 

What am I working on? 

Self love for sure. Using the words “I am worthy” In my day to day is what helps so much with this.

The comparing to others in the past has been so draining for myself so just focusing on those three words gives me that self love I need. 

 

How do I cultivate beautiful thinking? 

By trying to add that little bit of sunshine to someone else’s day is what gives me that pep in my step. By focusing on sending positive energy to others creates this beautiful place to live in. Doing small little good deeds and going that extra mile with someone creates more joy in my life.
